Kelly Berg is a California-based interior designer specializing in color, vegan design and authentic spaces. Her business, Story & Space, was born of a desire to help clients create spaces that truly feel like home. With a background in set decorating and photo styling, and specialized training in color psychology, Kelly approaches each project as a work of art and an exercise in storytelling. Her work is grounded in the philosophy that the most successful spaces are those that are mindfully and compassionately designed.  She is dedicated to using cruelty-free materials and is mildly obsessed with vintage finds. Ultimately, she believes in moving through this world with more kindness and empathy, and creating interiors that feel good and are good for all of us.

Kelly earned her BA in Communication from the University of California, San Diego and her BFA in Interior Design from the Design Institute of San Diego. She formally studied applied color psychology and human response to color through the International Association of Color Consultants (IACC-NA). With 20 years of design experience, Kelly has been featured in and has written for online and print publications including Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart and Marin Home Magazine. As a homeowner in Marin, Kelly is continuously putting her design skills to work by fixing up her own 1950s house. She enjoys hiking with her two rescue pups, playing the ukulele (or trying, anyway) writing poetry, gardening and cooking delicious vegan food. Kelly also frequently visits her home town of Napa for a little wine and inspiration.

Every day is a journey and the journey itself is home.
